Kosovo Symbols: Flag, Coat of Arms, and National Anthem

Kosovo Flag

The flag of Kosovo features a dark blue background with the golden silhouette of Kosovo at its center. Above the map are six white, five-pointed stars arranged in a gentle arc. Each star represents one of the six major ethnic groups living in Kosovo: Albanians, Serbs, Turks, Gorani, Roma, and Bosniaks.

Coat of Arms of Kosovo

The Coat of Arms of Kosovo mirrors the design of the national flag. It showcases a golden map of Kosovo centered on a blue shield with a golden border. Above the map, six white stars form an arc, symbolizing the country’s multiethnic character.

Kosovo National Anthem

The national anthem of Kosovo, titled “Europe”, was adopted by the Assembly of Kosovo on June 11, 2008. Uniquely, it has no lyrics, reflecting neutrality and unity among Kosovo’s diverse ethnic communities. The anthem’s instrumental nature emphasizes inclusivity without favoring any single group.
