Visa Requirements for Visitors to Kosovo
Most visitors to Kosovo do not require a visa. However, it is essential to check the latest visa information on the official Kosovo Ministry of Foreign Affairs website before planning your trip. Additionally, it’s recommended that you consult with the nearest Kosovo Embassy in your country of residence to ensure you have the latest details on entry requirements.

Countries Exempt from Kosovo Visa Requirement
Citizens of the following countries do not need a visa to enter Kosovo:
- European Union (EU) & Schengen Zone: Austria*, Belgium*, Bulgaria*, Denmark*, Estonia*, Finland*, France*, Germany*, Greece*, Iceland*, Ireland, Italy, Latvia*, Lithuania*, Luxembourg*, Malta*, Netherlands*, Poland*, Portugal*, Romania*, Slovakia*, Slovenia*, Spain*, Sweden*
- Other Countries: United States, United Kingdom, Canada, Australia, Argentina, Brazil, Japan, South Korea, Israel, Qatar, Turkey, UAE, Albania, Montenegro, North Macedonia, Serbia, and many more.

Special Categories Exempt from Visa Requirements
In addition to the above countries, special categories are exempt from the visa requirement when visiting Kosovo. These include:
- Citizens with Biometric Residence Permits or Multi-Entry Schengen Visas: Citizens from countries that require a visa for Kosovo but hold a valid biometric residence permit issued by a Schengen member state or a multi-entry Schengen visa are exempt from Kosovo visa requirements for stays of up to 15 days.
- EU and Schengen Citizens with Biometric ID: Citizens of the EU, Schengen Zone, Holy See, Andorra, Monaco, San Marino, Albania, Montenegro, and Serbia can enter Kosovo and stay for up to 90 days within a six-month period using a valid biometric identification card.
- Diplomatic & Service Passports: Holders of diplomatic or service passports from Russia, China, Egypt, Indonesia, and Ukraine can stay for up to 15 days without a visa.
- Hong Kong & Macao Special Administrative Regions: Travelers from Hong Kong and Macao holding valid travel documents are exempt from visa requirements.
- Taiwan Travel Document Holders: Travelers from Taiwan holding valid travel documents can enter Kosovo without a visa, provided they notify the Kosovo Diplomatic or Consular Mission at least two weeks before travel.
- Refugee and Stateless Persons: Holders of travel documents issued by EU member states, Schengen countries, USA, Canada, Australia, or Japan, based on the 1951 Refugee Convention or 1954 Stateless Persons Convention, may enter Kosovo for up to 15 days without a visa.
Additional Exemptions
- Laissez-Passer Holders: Individuals holding Laissez-Passer travel documents from UN Organizations, NATO, OSCE, Council of Europe, or the European Union are also exempt from the visa requirement.
