SUMMARY:Workshop on Writing and Zine Making
DESCRIPTION:In a three-days writing workshop we will be searching for people\, places and things that are disappearing within the city and our surroundings. At the same time\, we will work on writing as a practice of »appearing« in the sense of going public and becoming visible. Through writing exercises and field writing in different places of the city\, we will create texts and fragments on the topic of appearing/disappearing and publish our own zine\, which will be launched at Termokiss. Participation is free\, to enroll please contact: maikesuhr90@gmail.com until 12th of July. \nDate: 26th-28th July 2019\, from 11:00-17:00. More detailed program will be announced.\nPlace: Termokiss and diverse places of the city\nLanguage: The workshop will be held in English\, but you are welcome to write in Albanian or any language you want. \nThis project is part of the BECC fellowship program by the European Network of Cultural Centers (ENCC)\, supported by Creative Europe. \nMaike Suhr lives and works as a freelance editor in Berlin. As a member of the transcultural project space bi’bak her work focusses on global mobility and material culture\, including research\, writing and publishing. She is interested in writing as a tool of artistic\, cultural or self-related research. Through the BECC fellowship program she works with Termokiss in July `19.

Da napravimo umetnički arhiv!\, od Koh Nguang Hov\n16 – 21. avgust 2019. \nKurs 14: Institut umetnosti u uslovima triju esencijalizama: sajber\, de-kolonijalnog\, pop-performativnog\, od Keti Čukrov\n19 – 21. avgust 2019. \nSa Letnjom Školom kao Školom\, Stacion – Centar za savremenu umetnost Priština u saradnji sa partnerskim institucijama stvorio je jedinstvenu kolektivnu medjunarodnu platformu sa sedištem u Prištini\, kojom se razvija interdisciplinarni nastavni plan i program a stručnjaci podstiču na razmenu znanja i iskustava kako sa međunarodnim studentima tako i sa javnošću. \nDanas\, Letnja Škola kao Škola predstavlja vodeću regionalnu platformu za umetničku saradnju i diskurzivnu produkciju\, ali i model koji ujedinjuje sposobnosti jugoistočne Europe angažovanjem međunarodnog nastavničkog osoblja i partnerskih institucija u cilju proizvodnje i rasprostranjenja interdisciplinarnog modela obrazovanja i umetničke saradnje. \nPrvobitno inspirisana situacijom na Kosovu\, gde je edukativni sistem izgrađen sredinom sedamdesetih godina dvadesetog veka\, Letnja Škola kao Škola je osmišljena sa namerom da poveže i rasprostrani kritičko znanje i da ukaže na bitne izazove današnjice\, kako bi sprovela nove modele i mogućnosti na nivou umetničkog obrazovanja i umetničke saradnje. \nNakon postignutih uspeha tokom prethodnih godina\, ovogodišnja Letnja Škola kao Škola svoj nastavni program gradi na osnovu brojnih perspektiva i iskustava koje teoretski i praktično odražavaju i dovode u pitanje tekuću istoriju regije i njenu povezanost sa širim umetničkim\, političkim i društvenim razvojem. Endless 360 degrees landscapes can be seen from the top of the mountain. From all over Prishtina\, the coal-fired power station in Obiliq can be seen belching out pollutants into the air\, and there have long been plans afoot to build another\, ironically named ‘Kosova e re’ (New Kosovo). \nOn a European scale\, it’s estimated that air pollution costs around 1.6 trillion euros per year due to diseases and deaths. \nHeinecke says that despite the bleak situation and appalling air quality\, we still have little idea exactly what pollutants are in the air that we breathe every day as measurements are not sufficiently accurate enough and they’re not simple enough for the general population to understand. \nStill under 30\, Heinecke is the CEO of Breeze Technologies\, a company that makes small scale sensors that measure the individual pollutants — such as carbon\, nitrogen and oxides — in the air around us.
