DESCRIPTION:Chopin Piano FEST “Prishtina” is established for the first time on the 200th anniversary of Chopin in 2010 by the established Kosovo Chopin Association as the youngest member of the International Federation of Chopin Associations\, part of UNESCO. http://www.ifcs.pl/?lang=en\nThe planned 10th jubilee edition of the Chopin Piano FEST Prishtina 2019 will gather as usual distinguished local and international pianists performing not only Chopin works\, but also other well known composers\, classical and contemporary ones that have composed for piano solo and usual piano music ensembles.\n The high artistic level of the programme is as usually prepared by our artistic director Prof. Lejla Haxhiu-Pula\, a distinguished pianist in Kosovo\, and will offer new insights into piano music repertoire as shown in last editions that hosted great world pianists. Our aim with the Chopin Piano FEST is not simply to offer new names\, but also bring to Kosovo best musicians from various places\, establish friendship and network\, since it has been said so many times- music connects people in simplest way.\nOur  program for 2019  includes musicians from Kosovo\, Albania\, Macedonia\,France\,  Austria\, Germany\, Switzerland\, Italy\, Hungary\, Norway\, UK and Russia.  We need your cooperation and support to enable their participation in our festival\, and establish bridges for communication and cooperation with their colleagues from Kosovo\, while sharing their high-level performances with Kosovo audience\, and exchange the new trends and developments in artistic piano performance trends.\nThis year our education component increases with more concerts\, lectures\, workshops\, masterclasses and a special ChopinPianoFEST prize for one young pianist will continue\, with the help of sponsorship offered by Mr. Herbert Groeger\,  through initiative by our Kosovar pianist Ardita Statovci\, The prize includes a concert recital for the young Kosovo pianist in Germany\, the hometown of a selected composer\, therefore the concert shall include works of the selected composer and  Masterclass in a selected German University. This unique opportunity for a young Kosovo pianist to be able to perform before international audiences motivates young pianists studying in Kosovo to master further their piano skills and establish their piano performance career.

DESCRIPTION:[English below] \nPër edicionin e radhës të Volume UP\, K2.0 po e sjell në Prishtinë ndërmarrësin e “Forbes 30 Under 30 Europe”\, mendimtarin futurist dhe ekspertin e qyteteve të mençura\, Robert Heinecke\, për të folur për luftën kundër ndotjes së ajrit. \nNë vitet e fundit\, Prishtina është karakterizuar nga problemi i përditshëm i ndotjes së ajrit\, dhe jo vetëm gjatë dimrit. Prej gjithë Prishtinës shihet termocentrali i thëngjillit në Obiliq që nxjerr ndotës në ajër dhe për një kohë të gjatë janë përgatitur plane për ta ndërtuar një tjetër\, i cili ironikisht do ta mbante emrin ‘Kosova e re’. \nNë shkallën evropiane\, vlerësohet që ndotja e ajrit kushton rreth 1.6 trilion euro në vit për shkak të sëmundjeve dhe vdekjeve. \nHeinecke thotë se pavarësisht situatës së rëndë dhe kualitetit të tmerrshëm të ajrit\, prapëseprapë nuk kemi shumë ide se çfarë ndotës janë në ajrin që marrim frymë çdo ditë\, për shkak se matjet nuk janë mjaft të sakta dhe thjesht nuk mjaftojnë që problemi të kuptohet nga popullata e përgjithshme. \nHeinecke\, i cili ende nuk i ka mbushur 30 vjet\, është kryeshef ekzekutiv i Breeze Technologies\, një kompani që prodhon senzorë të shkallës së vogël që masin ndotësit individualë – si karboni\, azoti dhe oksidet – në ajrin tonë. From all over Prishtina\, the coal-fired power station in Obiliq can be seen belching out pollutants into the air\, and there have long been plans afoot to build another\, ironically named ‘Kosova e re’ (New Kosovo). \nOn a European scale\, it’s estimated that air pollution costs around 1.6 trillion euros per year due to diseases and deaths. \nHeinecke says that despite the bleak situation and appalling air quality\, we still have little idea exactly what pollutants are in the air that we breathe every day as measurements are not sufficiently accurate enough and they’re not simple enough for the general population to understand. \nStill under 30\, Heinecke is the CEO of Breeze Technologies\, a company that makes small scale sensors that measure the individual pollutants — such as carbon\, nitrogen and oxides — in the air around us. Bresson ishte trajnuar si piktor para se të kalonte në film si skenarist\, duke prodhuar filmin e shkurtë Public Affairs në vitin 1934. Pasi kaloi më shumë se një vit si i burgosur gjerman gjatë Luftës së Dytë Botërore\, ai debutoi me Angels of Sin (1943). Filmi i tij i ardhshëm\, Les Dames du Bois de Boulogne (1945)\, do të ishte i fundit kur ai do të punonte me aktorë profesionistë. Nga Journal d’un cure de campagne (1951) tutje\, ai krijoi stil unik minimalist ku gjithëçka pos pjesëve esenciale largoheshin nga filmi (shpesh\, detajet kryesore vetëm tregoheshin me fjalë)\, ku aktorët (ai i quante ‘modelë’) jepnin qëllimisht performanca të zbehta dhe pa emocione. Ky ishte stil i vështirë\, sfidues dhe jashtëzakonisht personal\, për shkak të cilit filmat e tij nuk gjetën popullaritet të madh (mesatarisht ai prodhonte një film çdo pesë vite)\, por ai konsiderohet kult regjisor ndër kritikë të cilët e shohin si njërin ndër artistët më të mëdhenj në historinë e kinemasë. Brigada e Kosovës\, prapa amfiteatrit të Sheshit Zahir Pajaziti. \n———————— \nKino ARMATA\n20-24 January 2020 \nBRESSON 101\nThe week of films by Robert Bresson \nKino ARMATA\, a public space in Prishtina that promotes alternative culture and social dialogue\, has the pleasure of announcing the next partnership with Alliance Française de Pristina\, the French Embassy in Kosovo and IF Cinema in bringing to Prishtina and Kosovo audiences some of the most important and relevant works of French auteurs. \nFilms from the ‘BRESSON 101’ series directed by Robert Bresson will be screened at Kino ARMATA between 20-24 January 2020 and include: \nMonday\, 20 January\, 20:00h\n“Les Dames du Bois de Boulogne” (1945)\, 84 min. \nTuesday\, 21 January\, 20:00h\n“Pickpocket” (1959)\, 75 min. \nWednesday\, 22 January\, 20:00h\n“Au Hasard Balthazar” (1966)\, 95 min. \nThursday\, 23 January\, 20:00h\n“Lancelot du Lac” (1974)\, 85 min. \nFriday\, 24 January\, 20:00h\n“L’Argent” (1983)\, 83 min. \nRobert Bresson (1901-1999) was among the most highly regarded French filmmakers of all time; his non-professional actors\, ellipses\, and sparse use of scoring have led his works to be regarded as preeminent examples of minimalist film. Bresson was trained as a painter before moving into films as a screenwriter\, making a short film (atypically a comedy) Public Affairs in 1934. After spending more than a year as a German POW during World War II\, he made his debut with Angels of Sin (1943). His next film\, Les Dames du Bois de Boulogne (1945)\, would be the last time he would work with professional actors. From Journal d’un cure de campagne (1951) (aka “Diary of a Country Priest”) onwards\, he created a unique minimalist style in which all but the barest essentials are omitted from the film (often\, crucial details are only given in the soundtrack)\, with the actors (he calls them “models”) giving deliberately flat\, expressionless performances. It’s a demanding and difficult\, intensely personal style\, which means that his films never achieved great popularity (it was rare for him to make more than one film every five years)\, but he has a fanatical following among critics\, who rate him as one of the greatest artists in the history of the cinema. He retired in the 1980s\, after failing to raise the money for a long-planned adaptation of the Book of Genesis. \nIn both academic and colloquial terms\, 101 denotes the elementary or basic facts associated with the field or subject specified. During 101\, ARMATA becomes a learning ground for the novices and enthusiasts alike\, offering fresh insight into some of the most influential movies and filmmakers of our era. \nAll films will be screened in the original language with Albanian subtitles and the entrance is free of charge. Kino ARMATA is supported by Prishtina Municipality and Swiss Agency for Development and Cooperation (SDC) and is located at Brigada e Kosovës St.\, behind the amphitheater at the Zahir Pajaziti Square.
