DESCRIPTION:Ftesë / Hapja e ekspozitës “Ruth Wolf-Rehfeldt: Kolazhe dhe Edicione” \nE PREMTE\, 12 tetor\, ora 19:00  \nGaleria Kombëtare e Arteve ka kënaqësinë t’ju ftojë në hapjen e ekspozitës “Ruth Wolf-Rehfeldt: Kolazhe dhe Edicione”\, kuruar nga Sven Spieker/ dizajni i ekspozitës nga Johanna Meyer-Grohbruegge. \n. . .  \nRuth Wolf-Rehfeldt është një artiste gjermane që njihet kryesisht për artin e saj me poezi pamore dhe art postar. Në fillim të viteve 70-të\, pas punës së saj si piktore\, ajo zgjedh makinën e shkrimit si mjetin kryesor për të prodhuar art. Përdor dy modele të ndryshme të makinave të shkrimit të tipit Erika të RDGJ-së (më vonë model stilolapsi) duke kthyer germat e tyre standarde në valë dinamike\, rrjedha simbolesh dhe struktura poezish të ndërtuara me presje\, pikëçuditëse e shkronja. Në mesin e imazheve të saj arkitekturale\, shpesh herë dallojmë kulla dhe kafazë: Wolf-Rehfeldt nuk e fsheh faktin se ndjehej e kufizuar nga mbikqyrja e rreptë e regjimit nën të cilin jetonte. Megjithatë\, duke zgjedhur punën e daktilografistes – profesion ky stereotipikisht femëror – ajo jo vetëm që arriti të përcaktoj përmbajtjen e asaj çfarë shkruante në letrat e saj\, por edhe të zbuloj poezi aty ku të tjerët nuk e shihnin. Në vitin 1981\, pas një aksidenti të rëndë trafiku\, ajo filloi të prodhonte kolazhet e para\, duke bashkuar typewritings/makinëshkrimet e saj me copëza gazetash apo me riprodhime të pikturave të hershme të saj në bardh e zi.  \nWolf-Rehfeldt përdorte letër karboni për të bërë kopje të punëve të saj me makinë shkrimi\, ndërkohë që shfrytëzonte edhe mjetet e Shoqatës së Artistëve për të printuar deri në pesëdhjetë kopje të tjera – që ishte maksimumi i kopjeve që lejoheshin në ish-RDGJ. Shumë nga këto fletë qarkulluan në rrjetin ndërkombëtar postar\, pjesë e të cilit\, me plot energji dhe entuziazëm\, ishin edhe Ruth me bashkëshortin e saj Robert. Studio e tyre në Mendelstrasse\, në lagjen Pankow të Berlinit Lindor\, mbeti një nyje e veprimtarisë së artit postar ndërkombëtar – deri në vitin 1989: pas rënies së Murit të Berlinit\, Wolf-Rehfeldt vendosi t’i jepte fund prodhimit të typewritings/makinëshkrimeve. Sipas saj\, nuk ekzistonte më nevoja për to.  \n____ \nFRIDAY\, October 12\, 7pm \nInvitation / Exhibition Opening “Ruth Wolf-Rehfeldt: Collages and Editions” \nThe National Gallery of Arts is pleased to invite you to the opening of the exhibition “Ruth Wolf-Rehfeldt: Collages and Editions”\, curated by Sven Spieker/ exhibition design by Johanna Meyer-Grohbruegge \n. . . \nRuth Wolf-Rehfeldt is a German artist mainly associated with visual poetry and mail art. After working as a painter\, in the early 1970s she turned to the typewriter as her main instrument for art production. She used two different models of the GDR typewriter Erika (later a ballpoint model) to turn its standardized characters into dynamic waves\, flows of signs\, and poetic textures composed of commas\, exclamation marks\, and letters. Among her typed architectural images we often find towers and cages: Wolf-Rehfeldt did not conceal the fact that she felt constrained by the regime of strict surveillance in which she lived. Yet by turning herself into a typist—a stereotypically female job—she not only managed to determine the content of her pages\, she also found poetry where others could not see it. In 1981\, after a serious traffic accident\, she produced her first collages by merging her typewritings with pieces torn from newspapers or b/w reproductions of her own earlier paintings. \nWolf-Rehfeldt produced her typewriter works in multiple copies using carbon paper\, and she used the facilities of the Association of Artists to print up to fifty copies more– the maximum allowed in the former GDR. Many of these pages circulated in the international mail art network in which both Ruth and her husband Robert participated with great energy and enthusiasm. Their studio on Mendelstrasse\, in East Berlin’s Pankow district\, was a hub of international mail art activity—until 1989: after the fall of the Berlin Wall\, Wolf-Rehfeldt decided to halt her output of typewritings. There was no need for them anymore\, she explained.
