DESCRIPTION:2nd edition of KYATA ‎ Winter University for Security Studies on 01 – 04 December 2017 \nKosovo Youth Atlantic Treaty Association has the immense pleasure of inviting you to participate in the event: KYATA “‎ Winter University for Security Studies” to be held on 01 – 04 December 2017 at NATO Corner of National Library of Kosovo. \nThis Winter University provides a unique opportunity for university and college students to study the role\, structure and activities of NATO and other security organizations\, as well as the military\, political – security\, and economic issues facing the Alliance. Through this WU\, students gain a better and clearer understanding of the capabilities and constraints that shape the policies of NATO and EU countries in determining matters of Collective Security. Apart from dealing with a prepared agenda\, students grapple with a contemporary crisis to be revealed at the WU. \nEach participating university\, students or participants will write an article that must meet the criteria’s to be published in Scientific Global Challenge magazine of the Diplomatic Academy of Albania. Upon the registration\, participants shall receive preparatory material\, which include the Agenda\, WU Handbook and pertinent NATO publications and other sources. During this WU participants will also have an excursion to our best city in Prizren also one cultural visit at our National Parliament in Prishtina. \nSupported by the: \n– “NATO Corner” of the National Library “Pjeter Bogdani” in Kosovo \nKYATA “‎ Winter University for Security Studies” is designed to: \na. Increase awareness of the role\, organization and activities of NATO in the defense of shared democratic values; \nb. Highlight the major military – security and political issues facing NATO and EU Member States; \nc. Demonstrate patterns of cooperation and conflict that characterize intra – NATO diplomacy; \nd. Increase the knowledge for current crises that are threatening our societies\, hybrid warfare\, refugees and other major security concerns. \ne. Balkan crossroads Russian influence vs Euro-Atlantic Integration of the region \nThis activity will take place in Prishtina\, the capital of the Republic of Kosovo. While\, for the foreign students taking part in this event\, the accommodation will be provided at the Private Apartments in Prishtina. \nTopics that will be discussed include: \n– What is NATO?\n– What is EUCFSP?\n– The role of special units to combat special operations against “lonely wolfs”\n– International security and new wars unconventional threats\,\n– Responsibility to protect\, national security in a globalizing world\,\n– Terrorism\, international terrorist organization\, how to defeat terrorist groups\n– International security organizations.\n– Refugees crises\, \nTarget Group:\na. SUMMARY:Heritage Space: Where Past Meets Contemporary
DESCRIPTION:Have you ever wondered how an ancient relic looks like in virtual space\, or seen a fashion collection that combines the fabric of the past with that of the present? Have you ever thought of time as circular\, where events from the past can change through interventions in the present? \nHeritage Space is an attitude towards cultural heritage that sees it as alive\, dynamic and able to influence and be influenced. Instead of treating cultural heritage through the static and narratively defined lens of archaeology\, heritage space acknowledges that creative manifestations of the past\, both in tangible and intangible forms\, can be inexhaustible sources of inspiration for new creations while enabling a more open and inclusive society and serving as foundations for historical identity and social cohesiveness at the same time. \nAs a platform\, Heritage Space enables members and artists of different creative fields to use cultural heritage as a source of inspiration and to create new works through which cultural heritage can transcend the limitations of time and can be reinvented\, promoted and relived. It creates new connections between creators\, society and heritage\, and elevates cultural heritage to the status of an irreplaceable well for economic\, social and cultural development in Kosovo. \nDuring the two years of the project\, the platform of Heritage Space has been created to support eighteen creative individuals from various fields as they used their spark to shine new light to creations from the past. Works were created using the mediums of fashion\, technology\, music\, storytelling\, video and adaptive reuse\, allowing cultural heritage to be viewed through a new and contemporary approach. These works will be exhibited during the Heritage Space exhibition in Prishtina where you will be able to experience the power of cultural heritage as an inspiring element\, and where you can witness how past can meet contemporary. \nThe exhibition will take place at the National Museum of Kosova on 01.12.2017 starting at 19:00. \nThis exhibition will be followed by a cocktail which will take place at the Archaeological Park of Kosovo (Opposite the National Museum of Kosovo) \n—— \nA jeni hamendësuar ndonjëherë si duket një relikë e vjetër brenda një hapësire virtuale\, apo një koleksion mode që kombinon pëlhurën e së kaluarës me atë të së tashmes? A keni menduar për kohën si një rreth ku ngjarjet nga e kaluara mund të ndryshohen përmes ndërhyrjeve në të tashmen? \nHeritage Space e njeh trashëgiminë kulturore si të gjallë\, dinamike dhe si diçka që ka ndikim dhe që mund të ndikohet. Në vend se ta trajtojë trashëgiminë kulturore përmes një thjerrëze statike dhe muzeologjike\, heritage space konsideron se manifestimet kreative të së kaluarës\, qofshin ato të prekshme apo të paprekshme\,mund të shërbejnë si bazë për identitet dhe kohezion shoqëror dhe të jenë burime të pashtershme frymëzimi për krijime të reja njëkohësisht\, duke e mundësuar një shoqëri më të hapur dhe më gjithëpërfshirëse. \nPlatforma Heritage Space u mundëson krijuesve të fushave të ndryshme kreative të përdorin trashëgiminë kulturore si burim frymëzues për krijimin e veprave të reja përmes së cilave trashëgimia kulturore i kapërcen kufijtë e kohës në mënyrë që të ri-zbulohet\, promovohet dhe ri-jetësohet. Kjo platformë krijon lidhje të reja në mes të krijuesve dhe shoqërisë me trashëgiminë\, duke e ngritur atë në statusin e një fontanë të pazëvendësueshme për zhvillim ekonomik social dhe kulturor në Kosovë. \nPërgjatë dy viteve të projektit\, është implementuar platforma Heritage Space për t’i përkrahur tetëmbëdhjetë njerëz kreativ nga fusha të ndryshme derisa ata përdornin shkëndijat e tyre për të shkëlqyer dritë të re mbi krijimet e së kaluarës. Punët janë krijuar përmes përdorimit të mediumeve të ndryshme të teknologjisë\, modës\, muzikës\, tregimeve\, videos dhe revitalizimit\, duke ofruar mundësi që trashëgimia kulturore të shikohet përmes një qasjeje të re dhe bashkëkohore. Këto vepra do të ekspozohen në ekspozitën Heritage Space: Where past meets contemporary\, aty ku do të mund të përjetoni fuqinë e trashëgimisë kulturore si element frymëzues\, dhe ku do të mund të shihni se si e kaluara mund ta takojë bashkëkohoren. \nEkspozita do të mbahet në katin e parë dhe të dytë të Muzeut Kombëtar të Kosovës\, më datën 01.12.2017\, në ora 19:00. \nKjo ekspozitë do të përcillet me koktej që do të mbahet në hapësirën e veçantë të Parkut Arkeologjik (Përball Muzeut Kombëtar)\n\n\n\nTechnology\nFashion\nArchitecture\n\n\n
